At Blue Bandit, our designs have one focus - to deliver results.

We don't try to create the fanciest graphics or funkiest animations - unless it serves to functionally enhance the website's main purpose.

Programming

We employ the Extreme Programming methodology when it comes to developing web applications. We prefer smaller, tighter focused projects requiring quick turnaround rather than extensive enterprise level projects. Our primary development platforms are PHP/MySQL on *Nix running Apache Web Server.

Search Engine Friendly Design

Without free search engine traffic, you will end up spending quite a bit of money generating quality traffic to your site. In-line with our Keep It Simple, Stupid philosophy of design, all of our websites are tailored to be search engine friendly.


We can usually get new websites crawled by the search engines within days, and have you appearing in the results for select key phrases within one month. While there is no guarantee as the search engines are continually updating their ranking algorithms, most sites within our network become indexed by both Google and Yahoo quickly.

We will do a thorough review of your competitors' websites and deliver an unbiased review on what they are doing correctly, and where you will have an edge.

Flash / Multimedia

In our experience, Flash is not the best option for those serious about their business. While it has it's place, 100% flash sites and flash intros create create barriers to entry, and generally result in visitors hitting the back button fast than you can say "Flash". We will always recommend to clients that they not use flash.

Certain exceptions exist for:
(a)Clients requiring interactive demos and presentations
(b)Creation interactive advertising elements.
(c)Supplemental content for arts oriented clients.
(d)Web sites geared towards younger kids - These do quite well due to the curious and exploratory nature of children
